Desert College Financing Corporation for New Markets Tax Credit projects (Indio)

The Desert Community College District (DCCD) works or has worked with the Desert College Financing Corporation (DCFC) to support New Markets Tax Credit projects such as the Indio Center (2014), the Indio Child Development Center (2022), and Indio Expansion (2024) related to financing and the development of the projects using a federal program administered by the Treasury Department that was established induce economic activity, jobs and better wages in economically disadvantaged areas according to zip code and need.
