Students may be exempt from assessment, orientation, and/or the counseling/advising components of matriculation if they meet certain criteria. (Title 5 §55532) However, students will not be exempt from the admissions and follow-up components of matriculation.
Students wishing to obtain a matriculation exemption in any of the three areas mentioned should submit a Matriculation Exemption Request online. Please make sure it includes your COD student ID#. The matriculation exemption will not be processed if this number is missing. Scan and upload transcripts. Transcripts must contain the student’s and college’s name and must be legible. Scan and upload any other documentation that you may think is necessary. You will receive an email to your COD email account notifying you of approval or denial.
In accordance with Title 5 55003, student may challenge a prerequisite/co-requisite if they meet certain criteria.
To submit a challenge, students must:
Provide sufficient backup of transcripts or other documentation.
Turn form in to the Admissions and Records Office.
Once received, submitted challenge forms will be reviewed and answered within seven to ten (7-10) business days. Students are advised to submit this form prior to the first day of classes allowing for ample processing time.
